Lordy, Lordy, Can't believe I am forty!!!!

Well, That year has finally come. I am now officially in the forties age group. I never thought this day would come so soon. Really it isn't bad at all. It has been kinda like a New list of New Years resolutions for me. I made myself get back into exercising everyday. I have to say, I feel so much better then I did at 39 ,when I decided to take some time off from exercising. Glad to be back at it again. My birthday fell on a weekday so it was a low key Birthday Celebration. I was really shocked to wake up to all the birthday decorations from my sweet husband. If you know my husband this is good decorating on his part. We live in a very small town with no party store so he and my little boy drove over 2 hrs away to get all the 40 birthday supplies. I have to say I was very impressed. This decorating will not be on the front page of Tip Junkie, but in my eyes it was very impressive. My husband typically leaves for work at 0730hr in the morning.. So before he left he got up and went to the store and was back home cooking omelets and Mimosas' for my special day. I was impressed with everything he did. Thank you honey for making my day so special.

He decorated the whole kitchen with Happy 40th Birthday Banners and balloons

He even remembered the plates and cups.

This is what I walked into first thing in the morning. So Sweet.

He thought of everything. Love the roses.

For supper we went to The Vines Restaurant, and enjoyed a night of no cooking and a nice glass of wine

The Big 5

I can't believe that my little baby that was born 5 years ago is now turning five. Where has the time gone??? To celebrate his big day, we decided to have a Toy Story 3 birthday party. What could be more perfect because the movie was released on June 18th,2010. We celebrated by taking 15 kids to see the movie then cake followed at Burger king. To go with the theme of a movie birthday we sent out this cute movie ticket invite.

Movie sign at the theatre. I took lots of pictures but for some reason they came out way to dark.

On Evan's special day, he woke up to this Happy Birthday sign.

Planning a party away from home was a little difficult especially in 100 degree weather. I decided to go with balloons that I could blow up the night before and take with me. We attached them to a balloon stick and gave one to each child at the end of the party. They had to sit in the car for 3 hrs will we took everyone to see the movie. We live in a small town so the Movie Theater was not use to hosting parties . They had no party room so it made taking balloons and cake very difficult.

I made a little sign that said done with 4 and unto 5. I covered a glass vase with some Toy Story wrapping paper.

The water bottles I covered with the same paper and put a sticker of each different character.

I had these cute little Chocolate Bar covers made, that wrapped around Hershey chocolate bars.

The kids loved these!!!!

Back of water Bottle

I made these cute napkin holders with the number 5 to celebrate Evan's age, of course he said " Mom, it is not a Toy Story 5 party, it's a Toy Story 3 party"

I love all these cowboy serving trays that I found at Hobby Lobby

All the stuff that we had to take with us !!!

Seeing that it was summer we decided to go with beach pales for the treat bags. So cute and were only $ 1.00 at walmart.

We filled it with many Toy Story treasures. Which were easy to find because the movie was about to be released.

The finished product.

I ordered these cute little Thank you stickers off of Etsy and cut 3 inch circles to paste them on.

I put each Child's name on the back to make it a little more personable.

When Evan awoke birthday morning he woke up to this.

The Toy Story cake. I ordered the cake figures from Amazon and let Evan put the figures on the cake. I was so surprised to get all the new characters and they were a hit with the kids.

Opening presents.

Cutting the cake

I thought he did a great job decorating the cake.

Make a wish!!!

At the end of the day!!! Happy Birthday my sweet boy.

Ready for a nap after a long day!!!!
