Done with Pre-K onto Kindergarten

Well, it is hard to believe that another year has gone by. It seems like only yesterday that Evan was born. Now we are off on another new adventure, Kindergarten. We had a great pre-k year. We started off in Mrs Robyn's class at the Santa Rosa Beach community Church and we end the year here in Clovis New Mexico at the Clovis Christian School. We have been blessed with fabulous pre-k teachers. The last week off school was a fun one. They got to have a "Fun in the Sun Day" on Tuesday and a Pancake breakfast for the last day of school. Here are some pictures of our fun week!!!!

I always like to pack notes with Evan's lunch. Here is a little note I put in his lunch to celebrate the last day of school. I got this idea from tip junkie, love this sight. Here is the link
end of school year traditions

As part of Fun in the Sun Day, each class got to go to a station that the school had set up. I volunteered to do the Balloon Pop. The kids had a blast!!!!

This station was the inflatable slip and slide.

Another on of the stations was the water gun station, one of the favorites of Evan. This is Evan and his buddy Gehrig.

They also got to ride the train. The school really put alot of hard work into this day

Enjoying a break with a Freezy!!!!

They even had a hair painting station.

The END Result!!!

As an appreciation of all the great jobs our teachers do, we made end of the year gifts for all Evan's teachers. The main teachers got a recycle bag with all the kids hand prints and names. I thought they turned out really cute. Thank you Mrs Delk for all your help in keeping it a secret.

The Back!!

During the year Evan is paired with a 4th grader to help them with chapel and lunch. So we bought this bag at the hobby lobby and monogrammed her initial on it as an appreciation of watching out for Evan all year.

For all Evan's other teachers, the librarian, music teacher, art and the principal we made these jars and covered them with scrapbook paper and filled them with tea and biscotti

We made little tags with love Evan on them

The Finished product.

Evan was so excited to give out all the gifts!!!

Last day of school picture with his teachers Ms Cato and Mrs Holt

After school we headed home and I painted a sign for Evan to see as we pulled up the drive way!! Of course we had to move it inside due to high winds here in Clovis.

I got this simple idea from Tip Junkie: here is the link:
welcome to summer banner.

Inside there was a present filled with summer fun water supplies

I had to have Josh race home for work to put the sigh out on the garage because it was so windy it would have blown away.

Here is my little man all done with Pre-k and ready for some summer fun. No more early wake- ups and schedules.

We look forward to another year at the Clovis Christian school with Mrs Curry!!!!

Let the summer Fun begin!!!

Chapel Tuesday

Every Tuesday at Evan's school is chapel day. This week I had the opportunity to attend. It was such a joy to see so many children that involved. They have a special program set up at the school where the 4th graders pair up with a child from Pre- K. They accompany them to lunch every day and chapel every Tuesday. It is the most precious thing to see. I really think that it helps both the Pre-k students and the 4 th graders. Here is Evan holding hands with his Buddy.
Mackenzie.

I was so glad that I got to attend today because they had all the children with Birthday in the months of May, June and July, come down to the front so the whole school could wish them Happy Birthday. Each child get s a special Birthday pencil. You would think that pencil was a million dollars because they are so proud and appreciative to receive it. Here are some pictures of my day there.

So proud to get his Birthday pencil

He spies Mommy taking pictures

Here is some video of them getting Happy Birthday sang to each child

SILLY DAY

Today is Silly Day at Evan's preschool.. They Had to be creative and come up with something silly to wear. So off to the Dollar store we went. This is what we came up with for silly day. Evan wore a old Dr Seuss hat, some silly glasses with a big nose and mustache, his PJ"S that didn't match, his rain giraffe boots and cloudy with a chance of meatballs umbrella. We also attached a whoopee cushion to the front of his shirt so when people hugged him it would make its annoying fart sound, needless to say he got lots of hugs when he walked through the door. We also attached a whoopee cushion to the back of his pants. He just thought that this was the greatest thing. So did all the other kids. It was a fun silly day at Pre-k today.
We wrote Mr Whoopee on the front and back of his shirt.

On Guard!!!

Arriving at school with Daddy

Everybody wanted a turn with the whoopee cushion.

All of Evan's silly friends .

Bible Verse Friday

Here is Evan's Bible Verse for Friday. They Didn't get to do this one last week because they went on a field trip to the zoo. Evan decided to change a few of the words because he thought that it sounded better this way. So here it is, Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you.

Daddy's Homecoming

It has been a long 3 months apart. Today our family is complete again. To surprise Daddy and to let him know how much we appreciate everything that he does for our family and our country, we ordered this huge sign from Buildasign.com. One of my friends told me about the free signs that you can have made for the Military. I did not expect it to be this awesome. We loved it, and Evan was so excited to hang it.

We always have to have fresh flowers for Daddy when he gets back. Just to let him know how much we love and miss him when he is not with us.

All ready to go get Daddy!!!

So excited, he is all dressed up in his little Flight suit. So Cute!!!

Evan said he doesn't need his Daddy Doll anymore because he has his real Daddy now.

We arrived!!! I was very impressed with all the sandwiches, fruit trays, veggie trays, cookies, cupcakes and drinks they had set up.

He is HOME!!!!!!

Not a flattering picture at all.

Finally, such a great thing to see. At first he was hiding behind me. He was so excited he didn't know what to do.

Our Family Complete again!!!!

My two Boys together again.

Collecting bloodwork from Daddy!!! They had a place all set up which was very convenient.

Climbing all over Daddy's gear.

The Best picture we were able to get of the three of us.

Lending a helping hand to daddy!!! So sweet.

Daddy really enjoyed all of his surprises. So glad to be finally home. No sleeping on a cot tonight.

So happy to have you home safe .

Special times cuddling and reading with Daddy.
