Sorry folks, I am a little bit behind on my posts. We have been doing weekend trips around the state of New Mexico this summer and really having a great time. It is nice not to have any schedule for a while. Here is the last day of the T-ball season . They played their last game then the coaches had a after party for them where they had hot dogs, cupcakes and received their trophies.

Last end of game cheer. Go Marlins!!!!!

Here is Evan with is Trophy. He was so proud and what a cute little trophy it was. All the kids names where added to the trophy

The coaches mom just so happened to be a cake baker so she made these awesome cupcakes for the kids.

All the parents got together and had these mugs made for the coaches with Cracker Jacks and Big League gum. Each mug had a team picture and the coaches name. Thanks to Jennifer for getting this together.
So cute, they really loved them

Overall it was a great season. Hopefully next year the Attention span will be better. We shall see.

Amarillo by Morning !!!!

It has been a busy summer. Each weekend we have been trying to get out town and take advantage of seeing different places around New Mexico. On memorial day we decided to take a trip to Amarillo. We arrived on Friday night and the first stop was TGIF which was right in our Hotel and the pool. The water was freezing so Evan spent most of his time in the Whirlpool. Here are a few of our memories from our trip.

Evan enjoying the whirlpool.

On Saturday we headed to Chucky Cheese fro the afternoon. We had never been to one before so we took our time and played every game in the place. Evan had a blast

Having a game of air hockey with some friends he just met.

Evan and Daddy enjoying the games arcade.

Saturday evening we headed to the Don Harrington discovery center.

Evan playing with in the bubble station.

Saturday night for supper we headed to The Big Texan restaurant. This is the Home of the free 72 oz steak if you can eat it in 1 hr. Somebody actually completed the challenge while we were there. It was the best steak that I ever had. They have lots of fun things for the kids do do while waiting to be seated. Evan enjoyed playing the slot machines and shooting the targets with his gun

I had to convince Daddy to have his picture taken in the Big Chair.

Evan cute little face.

Outside the Big Texan

This was the place they had set up and Evan spent most of his time here shooting at the targets.

My little Shooter. He was actually pretty good.

Daddy and Evan trying to shoot the targets.

Getting ready to eat our big steak

After dinner, we are all stuffed. They give each kid a free cowboy hat with the kids meal.

My little cowboy!!!!!

On Sunday we decide to do a jeep tour through the Palo Duro canyon. It was a awesome experience that I recommend to everyone. The jeeps were so cute, they were all decorated in cow seat covers . I took pictures that you can see on my camera but for some reason they will not come out when I download them, but here are a few that came out.

The cowboy riding in the back.

Palo Duro Canyon, so pretty this picture does not do it justice.

The Longhorns came right up to the jeep and Evan got to feed them. He was so excited.

A little to close for Momma!!!!

Feeding the longhorns.

The Elkins ranch tour took about 2 hrs, you can do longer if you want. It was great experience and we got to learn about the ranch history. The also have a a cowboy cookout that looked real neat.. We will try that next time.
Of course no trip would be complete without trips to Target, Michael's; and Starbucks. We even got to eat real ice cream. We shall return.

Done with 43 onto 44

On June 2nd we celebrated Daddy's Birthday. It was a great day. Nana arrived that day just in time. Even though Daddy worked all day, we decorated the whole house for when he awoke. He was really surprised with all we had done. At 44 you still got it Honey!!!

Daddy requested the first cake I had every made him. Evan helped do the whole thing.
We wanted to make this Birthday extra special because last year Josh celebrated his Birthday in Afghanistan.

I made cute little napkin holders that said, "survived 43 now onto 44" !!!!

We also made a Birthday Banner for Daddy.

HE was really surprised with all his decorations and very thankful. We got Daddy some Cowboy boots for his Birthday. It was his first pair of boots after all those years growing up in Texas.

Bedtime Stories

The base hosted a night of bedtime stories at the library. Evan and his friends got to wear their pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed toy. Evan picked his How to train a dragon pajamas and his monkey!!! They listened to 3 nighttime stories and made a teddy bear craft. Then the library kicked off the summer reading program , a Voyage to Book Island. It was a fun night. The base provides so many nice things for the kids.
